Our Yummly Page

I chose Yummly as my Paleo recipe-publishing platform because the program is simply awesome for people like you and me. We are food lovers: That special group of individuals who love to take the eating experience to the next level. We are “food whisperers” who love to explore new flavors and share our delicious experiments with friends and family. This is why I know you will love Yummly as much as I do.

Make the Most of Your Yummly

The moment you log into your personal page, you may create an avatar, complete with a profile picture and username. Your profile icon has a pull down menu where interesting categories will come up including “Ask a cooking question”, and “My Tastes”. I would immediately address the “My Tastes” option, because here is the space where you will have the chance of to identify important details such as:

  • Your cooking skill– Beginner, middle, advanced
  • Diet– Lacto vegetarian, Ovo vegetarian, Paleo, Pescetarian, Vegan, Vegetarian
  • Disliked ingredients – Added by you.
  • Allergies – (Alphabetically listed) Dairy-Free, Egg-Free, Gluten-Free, Peanut-Free, Seafood-Free, Sesame-Free, Soy-Free, Sulfite-Free, Tree Nut-Free, and Wheat-Free. You have the option of selecting more than one.
  • Favorite Cuisines – (Alphabetically listed) American, Asian, Barbecue, Cajun & Creole, Chinese, Cuban, English, French, German, Greek, Hawaiian, Hungarian, Indian, Irish, Italian, Japanese, Kid-Friendly, Mediterranean, Mexican, Moroccan, Portuguese, Southern, & Soul Food, Southwestern, Spanish, Swedish, and Thai.

Notifications and Sharing

Once your profile is complete, and as you select favorites, you will start to receive notifications on trending, popular foods. Ideas for quick and easy “do it now” recipes, lists of seasonal meals, and a customized selection of foods, just for you, will also pop up. If you are a Paleo practitioner, for example, the more you “like” Paleo recipes, the more recipes will keep showing up for you to try and share.

Speaking about sharing, suppose that you are new to Yummly, to cooking, or to the Paleo lifestyle. Do not fear. The site features a great forum of foodies that is consistently active. You can make great connections with other food lovers and get ideas from them. Some forum users have been known to ask other members to suggest meals and recipes for last minute events such as meals on wheels, surprise engagement parties, and even ideas on what to serve on thematic birthday parties!

The Paleo Lifestyle Option

Now that you know all that you can do with your personalized Yummly account, I invite your to find me so we can connect. I assure you that you will find something that will perfectly suit your schedule, as well as your budget. One of my favorite benefits of the Paleo diet is that the ingredients that most recipes call for are regular grocery items that we buy even without thinking about it. Meats, fish, fruits, vegetables, and almonds can all be found at different price ranges, so you can always create a meal at your price.
